Marko Petrović writing in a journal at a desk

About me.

I don't believe a person can be known through a few sentences about themselves.

The way someone listens to others says far more.

My name is Marko Petrović.

I've done different kinds of work and pursued different interests, and each one taught me that what has real value almost always comes slowly — through patience, attention, and a genuine interest in people.

Maybe that's exactly why Saga d'Or came to be.

Not out of a desire to make films.

But out of a desire to preserve what

disappears most easily.

Someone’s voice. The way they pause mid-sentence. The look they give the people they love. The things no photograph can hold onto.

I don’t arrive with a ready-made story about who you are. I’d rather ask one more question than assume the answer.

I care more about what a person actually thinks than what sounds good in front of a camera. I don’t try to make a life bigger than it was.

I honestly believe that ordinary, quiet moments often say far more than big events.

I lead every project personally.

Not because I think I’m the only one who can do it.

But because I believe trust cannot be handed from one person to another.

When someone entrusts me with their story, I don’t feel like I’ve gotten a job.

I feel a responsibility.

And I try to earn it with every conversation, every question, and every decision I make.

If, one day, after watching the film, someone’s children don’t say: “Now I understand him a little better,” then I haven’t done what Saga d’Or exists to do.
